Share
On the morning of the first day of the Borderless Exhibition, we received some exciting news!
Pressflower Studio Japan's pressed flower artist Tae Kawagoe in Tokyo Currently being held at the National Art Center, Tokyo
At the 21st Century Art Borderless Exhibition "Monumental"
We won the Grand Prix !
Before the exhibition, Tae Kawagoe said, "This work marks a turning point in my own direction."
She said about this work.
This work is truly a monumental piece for Kawagoe Tae, in keeping with this year's theme of "Monumental."
The motif of the work is a flower called "gloriosa."
Twenty years ago, Tae Kawagoe first thought, "I want to make a pressed flower work."
This is the flower She thought of.
Not just blooming flowers,
She started by planting bulbs to use the buds, leaves and vines.
It takes three years for the beautiful flowers to bloom,
Finally, she was able to press the flowers, and that was the beginning of the gloriosa in Kawagoe Tae's garden.
This year, the flowers are even more lustrous, with the petals shining through the light, making them so beautiful that you can gaze at them forever.
She tried to imagine such gloriosa flowers as pressed flowers blooming in the sky or floating on the bottom of the ocean.
At the award ceremony, She received a trophy and a certificate.
In addition, while feeling excited, she also shared her thoughts on the work,
In her speech, she was able to express her gratitude to everyone who was involved and to her family.
This year, too, many customers, including people from overseas, came to the exhibition every day, enthusiastically viewing the exhibits and giving us many words of appreciation.
The session will run until tomorrow.
Please come to the venue to see the works created by Kawagoe Tae, who continues to take on new challenges!
