Our Story
Pressed flowers are art
Flower pressing techniques have made amazing progress in recent years.
Not only have drying and preservation techniques improved dramatically, but the tools used to make pressed flowers have also improved dramatically. By applying the power of science, it has become possible to easily pursue the joy of pressed flowers while preserving the beauty of the flowers.
Pressed flowers have now not only reached the level of painting, but also allow for a variety of different forms of expression.
By carefully preserving the feelings contained in a single flower, you can see the preciousness of time that has passed. Even if you encounter the same flower again next year, it will be a different flower from the one in front of you. Pressed flowers, which allow you to capture and preserve a moment in time, are a visible art of time.
Pressed flower artist
Tae Kawagoe
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
After graduating from school, I worked at a city bank. During the changes and busyness of marriage, childbirth, and raising children, I almost lost sight of myself as an individual. It was during this time that I discovered pressed flower art.
I was amazed by the realization that pressed flowers could be used to create expressions similar to paintings. Captivated by this beautiful art, I decided to immerse myself in the world of pressed flowers and continue to pursue its allure.
In 2004, I started my journey as a pressed flower designer. Through "pressed flowers", which capture the momentary beauty of plants, I continue to create works that evoke a sense of love for both the future and the past.
Since 2018, I have also been dedicating my efforts to advising and supporting young generations, new talents, and the empowerment of women.
