Collection: Upcycling Project
Do you know about the upcycling project that uses discarded cosmetics to decorate the Japanese festival "Aomori Nebuta"?
Cosmetics manufacturers generate a large amount of discarded cosmetics during the production process and after the shipping deadline. In 2023, a project was launched to use these discarded cosmetics to color "Nebuta", where the rising cost of materials is becoming a problem. This project is being carried out by Rika Tsukamoto, who works on Aomori Yamada's Nebuta, general producer Shinichi Yokono, and MANGATA Co., Ltd., which has been promoting the upcycling of multi-purpose color materials.
