🐈The world of cats depicted with flowers
—— Notice of participation in the special exhibition "Cat Exhibition" at Daikanyama "Art Rush"
At the special exhibition " Cat Exhibition " held at the art gallery "ARTS RUSH" in Daikanyama, Tokyo
Pressed flower artist Kawagoe Tae from Pressfloser Studio Japan is exhibiting.
Just walking around Daikanyama stimulates your senses.
Art Rush, located in a quiet alley, is a warm space where you can take your time to appreciate the artworks.
In this exhibition, we are presenting pressed flower works with the theme of "cats."

🌿The many facets of cats
Cats are adorable creatures that are close to our lives,
It has a mysterious elegance and a wild instinct that occasionally peeks out.
What is particularly captivating is its eyes.

They gave me a deep gaze that seemed to see through everything,
Sometimes it shines with a sharp glow, as if the cuteness it had shown just a moment ago was just a temporary disguise.
Although they live alongside humans, they are never completely dominated by them.
I feel that this free spirit is what makes cats so appealing.
In this work, I focused on the "inner self of a cat."
🌸A small story hidden in the flowers
What particularly caught Kawagoe's attention were the kittens' eyes.
Kittens hiding mischievously among the flowers.
The different expressions in each eye resonate with the different colors and textures of the plants.
It creates each individuality.

"Cherry Blossoms and Cats"
Under the cherry blossom trees, it looks as if it is covered in cherry blossoms.
This is a work that will give you the feeling of a scene from the story.

"Forget-me-not"
The silhouette depicts the moment when a forget-me-not gently flutters down onto the tip of the nose.

"Lucky Cat"
I hope it brings good fortune to those who see it and pick it up...
It was created with a friendly and humorous look, and is filled with wishes.
🌿Expressions that can only be created by real plants
All of the pieces use real plants.
The delicacy, flexibility and strength of natural materials
It quietly resonates with the wildness and vitality hidden within cats, adding depth to the expression.

During the production process, the colors of the flowers change and randomness in their placement emerges.
Those unpredictable moments are also an important part of the work.
I hope you will take a look at the cats that were created by interacting with each petal.

Things that can only be conveyed through the real thing
The works created from pressed flowers have a texture and depth that cannot be conveyed in a photograph.
Colours that change depending on how the light hits them,
The shadows created by overlapping petals,
And the sense of quiet that you feel when you stand in front of the work.
The gallery space,
At your favorite place,
When you face it quietly, the work is completed.
Your own story begins.
Be sure to stop by Art Rush while strolling around Daikanyama.
The cats will warmly welcome you.
