Special Gifts
During the Edo period, goldfish breeding progressed, and they became popular as gifts and status symbols. Goldfish were also presented as gifts to shoguns and feudal lords, and their rarity and beauty earned them a high reputation, making them more than just ornamental fish, they also played an important role in cultural exchange and social influence.
Thinking back to that era, I expressed the charm of goldfish in a two-dimensional form. I believe that by expressing the unique shape and color of goldfish using pressed flowers, a natural material, I have created a unique piece of work.

This work is sealed in glass. Pressed flowers have a delicate nature that changes over time when exposed to air and ultraviolet rays. By sealing them in glass and blocking the air, you can enjoy their beautiful colors for a long time. If you open the back panel of the frame, air may flow in. When you receive it, please display it as is, away from direct sunlight.
